Abstract text It is becoming increasingly accepted that bladder preservation is comparable to cystectomy when treating muscle-invasive bladder cancer with curative intent. There are a number of different strategies involving systemic radiosensitisers, hypoxia modification, hyperthermia and brachytherapy to name a few. Although there are various strategies available, a predictive biomarker that can be used to stratify patients for their optimal treatment remains elusive.en
