The scaffold protein IQGAP1 regulates cell signaling through the RAF/MEK/ERK pathway. Recent data show that cancer cells in which the RAF/MEK/ERK pathway is activated are particularly sensitive to the disruption of IQGAP1 function. IQGAP drugs may be particularly effective in tumors that develop resistance to existing pathway drugs.Citation
